On 27 May 2026, Dr Celestine Achi of Cihan Media Group launched AGENTPR, described as Africa’s first agent-driven media intelligence framework for public relations professionals.
The platform runs eight structured intelligence sweeps across online news, social media, forums, Nigerian broadcast media, dark social platforms, international press, and WhatsApp echo channels. It is available as both a browser-based dashboard and as an AI connector. The framing from Achi is direct: “Media monitoring tells you what was said. PR intelligence tells you what it means, why it matters, who is driving it, what risk it carries, and what decision should follow.”

What it means for you: This is the counter-argument to the AfriComms warning, built-for-Africa AI that claims to understand how African media actually works, including dark social and WhatsApp. Whether it delivers at scale remains to be seen. But the conversation it opens about what African-context intelligence infrastructure actually looks like is one every comms team here needs to join.
